Dear Parents,

Wow, hard to believe I am saying this! It is the final of Sonshine for the summer of 2010!! I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support.  I am hoping all of the kiddos had a fun filled summer full of great memories and new friendships!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people as this job is impossible to do without some great help! Both Miss Neccia and Miss Deborah have been a great help to me this summer.  Their youth is vital on so many of our trips.  Their ever present watchful eye has also made a safe summer for all the kids.  I've know both of these young ladies since they were your children's age and it is fun to now have them working for me! Parents, know this, your children could not have better role models in these ladies!  Nor could they find someone who loves your kiddos more.  Take time to thank them this week!!  Ladies, I love you both from the bottom of my heart!!  Thank you is not enough!!

Special thanks also to Mark Dewyer our bus driver who has been so faithful!!!

Whether your children are returning the following week to Maranatha or going to another school I pray blessing on each of them.  I pray for them to have a year of new friends, new memories.  I pray blessings over each family that this may be a year of prosper, financially, and spiritually.  May you always find time to make family moments.  These kiddos grow up all too quick!!  Pray with them daily!  Parents, our children our gifts from our Heavenly Father, see Him for guidance for their paths!  You, and your children hold special places in my heart and are truly my extended Sonshine family!

Parents,
Hope all of you have a great weekend.  I apologize for the delay in getting this to you I have been thinking this all through.
In past years we have always attended Roarding Springs at a very nominal group rate. However, it has always included extra chaperons at no extra cost etc.  This year that is not the case.  They have raised the group rates and now charge us for any additional chaperones.  I weighed this a lot this weekend and realizing that we have a much younger group of kiddos this summer with the majority of them spending their time in the diddie area it would not be cost effective for us to go.  Unfortunately the group rates for many places have gone up this year.  This is in part attributed to economy but in a bigger part to misues of facilities of groups.  I hope your in agreement with me and support this with me to the kids.  I have tried to keep daycamp prices as reasonalbe as I can and still have fun.  We also would have to purchase our lunches in addition to that.  To be honest with you the kids have had as much fun playing in the huge sandbar as they do at Roaring Springs.
So that being said I apologize but we will be planning a trip to Wahoozs as they are more resonable.  Thank you for understanding.

Blessings,
Ms. Nancy

Parents,
Wow, summer has finally arrived!  We have managed to stay cool and will also this week as we head out to some of our favorite water destinations.
There are several of our kiddos going to be on vacation this next week so I am planning Roaring Springs for the 22 since we will only be going once! They have raised our group rates as well for this year and I want to make sure most of our kids are here for it.
Just a reminder please put number of days in the box next to your child's name so we know how to staff. Thank You!

June 24, 2010
I truly cannot believe that the month of June is gone!!  We are having a great time as always, and it is finally summer!  Rollerdrome was awesome!  I have to say all of them are real troopers, as many o fthem picked themselves up many times during our skating session!  Swimming today yeah!  It is not a requirement, but many of the kiddos have swim shirts and they help soooo much with sunburns!  Some parents told me that you can get them at Old Navy.  We do put sunscreen on them but it helps a lot as sometimes we do miss as well!
Just a reminder, we will be closed Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5.  Thank you so much for allowing this time for a staff to have a long weekend!  Payments for both weeks will be for a 4 day week, $100.00 for first child and $80.00 for second child.  Blessings to all of you!
May all of you have a blessed holiday weekend!  Be safe!  We are a blessed nation!  Freedom to worship our Amazing Creator!  Go and enjoy His creation!
In His Service,
Blessings,
Ms. Nancy
